Leucine

Leucine is an essential amino acid that the body cannot produce itself. It must therefore be supplied with food.

Leucine is important for maintaining and building muscle tissue. It supports the build-up of protein in the muscles and liver, inhibits the breakdown of muscle protein and supports healing processes. Like isoleucine, leucine can also serve the body as an energy supplier.
